SIMPLE TRICKS FOR EATING FEWER CALORIES
Drink a glass of water 15 minutes before eating.
Chew sugarless gum while you cook.
Sit down to eat.
Take only one plateful.
Even dessert.
Put down your fork or spoon between each bite.
Eat all your food in one location.
Chew, taste, savor and enjoy your food.
Tell the cook you really like it.
Don't read while you are eating.
Snack often, as much as you like- of vegetables.
It takes 12 minutes for nourishment to reach your brain. How long do your meals take? You will be amazed at how short most of them are. You can be finished with fast food long before your brain even knows you have started! And you may still think you are hungry. Stretch out your meals by at least four minutes longer than you do now.
Under stress, men eat less, women more; especially sweet, bland food.
Use applesauce for oil; olive oil for butter; egg whites (or egg beaters) for whole eggs; non-fat yogurt for sour cream; air-popped pop corn for potato chips.
Replace some of the hamburger meat with mashed beans.
Don't miss breakfast. Lunch will be 18 hours from your last meal and your body will be in FAT storage mode.
