| Amy Sure horse work is great
exercise! First there is swinging that heavy saddle
up on the horse's back which is good for the shoulders. Then cinching it up
which is good for the front of the chest. Then pulling on your jeans which is
good for your thumbs and your hips wriggling. Then climbing on the horse
which is good for your legs, especially if it takes a couple of times. Riding
itself is good for stretching your adductors. If you ride English and post it
will help your legs. If you ride western your trunk gets a great workout
absorbing shock. When you are all through, dragging the hose to water,
rubbing the horse down, lifting the bale of hay, and lifting off the saddle
and lugging it back to the barn and I could go on for some time... Anyway,
you get the point, work it is but not aerobic unless you have the chase the
horse. Happy Holidays.
