Dear
Travis
For our
purpose: A calorie is a measure used to express the heat or energy value
of food and physical activity. It is defined as the amount of heat
necessary to raise the temperature of one kilogram (1 liter) of water
one degree centigrade, from 14.5 to 15.5 C. More accurately termed a
kilocalorie (kcal). Most mortals just use the term calorie. I hope this
helps you.
