Dear Dr. Dixon,

Currently I am on a program which involves eating 6 small portioned meals a day, and lots of protein.  I do weights 6 times a week and cardio 4 times a week.  My workout break down is Chest and Bis, Back and Tris, then Shoulder and Legs.  I have done this for 6 weeks and seen good results.  I've been told to change patterns every six weeks.  I am now planning to do Chest, Back and Shoulders, Arms then Legs and repeat.  Is this good, or should i stay on track if im getting results?  Or should I do Back and Bis, Chest and Tris, Shoulder and Legs?  Thanks!

Jeff

Dear Jeff,

Six meals a day, well balanced is fine.  You may be taking on too much protein.  It seems to us that you are working too hard.  I personally think you should get the advice of a personal trainer as you seem to be exceptionally well motivated and enthusiastic.  There are lots of things you need to know about so you don't harm yourself.  More than I can suggest on this brief acquaintance.
